Froth Pak 180 is a portable two component expanding Polyurethane spray foam. The expanding foam kit comprises of two pressurised tanks containing Isocyanate (A) and Polyols (B) and linked by a 9ft hose to a dispensing gun and 10 disposable / replaceable nozzles.
Dow Froth Pak 180 is intended for use as foamed-in-place insulating air barrier sealant for air leakage control and insulation of gaps, cracks, cavities, and joints in the building envelope. The expanding foam is used for sealing ducts, elbows, valves, tees, and boxes, replacing or repairing insulation in refrigerated containers. Froth Pak is used around door and window perimeters, roof / wall intersections, and the sealing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing penetrations occurring in walls, floors, ceilings, attics, and roofs.
When the Dow Froth Pak dispenses foam, the 'A' and 'B' components chemically react with each other to produce a froth like substance, which quickly expands to about three to five times the dispensed volume. The foam filler solidifies in approximately 30-60 seconds and fully cures in about 5 minutes into a solid permanent structure. Care should be taken to ensure surfaces are dry, dust free, and free of grease prior to application. See the video demonstration below of the Frothpak.
