Fire Retardant Silicone Sealant is a one part alkoxy cure silicone which has excellent unprimed adhesion to most building surfaces and is designed to be used in areas where heat and fire resistance is required. Fire Rating:

In glazing > 65 minutes.

Siroflex Flameguard Fire Retardant Silicone is designed for use on; perimeter pointing and sealing of fire rated structures, vapour seals in fire rated cladding, sealing between curtain walling and main structure and sealing high movement construction joints. Materials this product can be used on are; assemblies of glass, laminated glass, glazed surfaces, aluminium and many other metals, unplasticised plastics like polycarbonates, acrylics, polyester, polystyrene sheets and most PVCu, painted wood, concrete and brickwork. Accommodates movement of + or - 25%.

Before applying your Fire Retardant Silicone Sealant ensure surfaces are clean, dry and sound. Priming is not normally required for common surfaces but if in doubt an adhesion test is recommended. Gun sealant firmly into joint to provide a solid fill. Care must be taken to avoid trapping air and forming air bubbles. Joint depth should be equal to half joint width. Always tool down using a spatula or stick wetted with soapy water within 5 minutes of application. Cure rate 2mm per 24 hours at +20°C at 50% relative humidity.
